The United Clergy Task Force (UCTF) is a non-profit, non-denominational development partnership working to transform underutilized spaces into vibrant community anchors. UCTF brings together faith communities, foundations, educational institutions, and local service providers to harness and amplify the social and economic potential of affordable housing developments — especially in economically marginalized neighborhoods.
As a part of the Sembrando Semillas project, UCTF is reimagining the former La Pica youth detention center as a mixed-use campus that includes affordable housing, workforce training, education, and wellness spaces. Through partnerships with local service providers, faith groups, and national development leaders, UCTF will support community-led revitalization while allowing local institutions to retain ownership of their land. This model empowers neighborhoods to grow from within—preserving cultural roots while creating opportunity, stability, and infrastructure for long-term, intergenerational success.
